This is another popular question. Immigration issues come up every day, and you may have talked to someone in a similar situation about what worked for them. Just remember: it is up to you as the applicant to provide all the necessary information and documentary evidence to show you meet the program criteria. And just because something worked for your friend doesn’t mean it will work for you.

We start with a personal assessment of your particular situation. Then we put together your options and let you decide what makes sense for you. Our immigration practitioners will provide recommendations to make your case stand out as well as possible solutions for your unique issues.

First, what is your time limit? Often, when you have made a submission on your own, you have a very short time limit to respond to a request from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). If you fail to respond or do not provide the correct documents, then your case may be rejected. Our team has worked to help clients deal with those tight deadlines to meet requests from IRCC. Although the outcome may be successful, why take that chance? Remember, information is accessible to “do-it-yourself,” but what to do with it is not.
